Tired of not having your planner with you when you need it? Hack your Moleskine to make it your wallet.

After a year of heavy use (carrying it in my back pocket every day, sitting on it, running around, slapping it on tables and scribbling elaborate notes on every page), I decided to modify the design for this year. I took a minimal approach and instead of sacrificing a whole notebook, I carefully removed a Moleskine back pocket and glued it on the empty page opposite the planner’s pocket. The new design only takes 4 cards, which should be enough on most occasions. Paper money is stored in the normal back pocket. From experience, that pocket will rip on the outer end, which ultimately makes it more convenient to use (just don’t let anyone toss it around, or you will have your money on the floor). Furthermore, I added one pocket on each of the first two pages with a clear film to display my student ID and driver’s license, which guarantees quick access, as I need to show these frequently.
So if you’re tired of not having your planner with you when you need it, make your own wallet/planner hybrid.
