The
Chatwin prize - "walking around the world" is back to Genoa, organized by "Uj-Ut" cultural company, under the aegis of Liguria Region, the cooperation of the City Council of Genoa and sponsored by the "Ministero per i Beni e le Attività culturali".
Walking from Center Europe to Tibet and more...
Four days,
from November 26th to 29th, filled with stories, images, meetings, exhibitions, concerts and musical digressions, that will take us on a walk, from Central Europe to Tibet, from Afghanistan to New Guinea. As usual, a great number people, representative of Italian and International Culture will guide us through the path of Chatwin prize. Amongst them : Claudio Magris, Dacia Maraini, Francesco Surdich, Folco Quilici, Hape Kerkeling, Mario Dondero, Ettore Mo, Jason Elliot, Paolo Fresu, and many others.
Moleskine has enriched its set of collector's notebooks, created for the Chatwin Prize since its first edition, with an
Anthology of the works of winning writers from the different sections of the competition, and a selection of stories among those of other participants.
Among other side events, a session devoted to young people: the writing lab "Raccontando la Liguria - storie di viaggio e migrazioni" (Telling 'bout Liguria - stories of travels and migrations), involving around 60 secondary school pupils coming from Genoa, guided by the tutors of Holden School in Turin.
The event's program will provide a special greeting to Praga. Following the steps of Utz, Mario Dondero's unpublished pictures, from November 26th to December 7th. Inside, an exhibition of Meissen china bought by Bruce Chatwin to celebrate the publishing of Utz's story and scratch drafts notebooks used to write the novel.
