Behind the scenes of the Golden Era

Moleskine continues its love affair with cinema with a new Special Edition dedicated to one of Asia's most talked about films this year. With its pure white cover, gold embossing and printed stills, it celebrates director Ann Hui's most ambitious film to date, The Golden Era.

The film closed the 2014 Venice Film Festival and screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. It has been selected as the Hong Kong entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards and will be competing for 5 Awards later this month at The Golden Horse Film Festival.

An extensive exhibition of the film's making of is on display at the Moleskine Concept Store at Sanlitun for Beijing Design Week. Fans of the film can go deeper into the world of The Golden Era with an up-close look at the original script as well as sketchbooks filled with director Ann Hui's ideas for the film's scenes and characters.
