Special editions: Hong Kong Film Festival

HGIFF_490bis.jpgMoleskine is participating in the Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), the most highly anticipated film event in Asia and one of the most important worldwide. The guest of honor at this 36th edition of the festival is director and producer Peter Ho-Sun Chan.

This year the festival is dedicating a review and a one-man exhibit to him at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. In addition to screenings, meetings and seminars, one of the director's original notebooks will also be on exhibit. The notebook will be displayed inside a case; wearing special cotton gloves, visitors will be able to leaf through the notebook and follow the artist's creative process as it develops, through sketches and drawings, page after page. The notebook will become part of the Detour archive and will journey to destinations around the world as part of the Moleskine traveling project.

As a tribute to the festival, Moleskine has created a special edition, with proceeds going to the HKIFF for the promotion of cinematic and cultural projects. A new installment in the long series of initiatives and special editions that Moleskine has dedicated to the world of cinema and its major figures, involving directors such as Tim Burton, Mike Figgis, Spike Jonze and Jia Zhangke, and participating in festivals such as those in Tribeca, Locarno, Berlin and Venice.
