What is the difference between travel journalism and blogging? This was the topic of Travel Blog Exchange, an event held in Chicago in July 2009.

Sara Rosso, digital strategist, writer and photographer, interviewed three bloggers about their day by day relationship with digital and analogic tools.

In these videos Elise Bauer, Jessica Spiegel and Christopher Elliott talk about the role computers and notebooks have in their life, saying they need both.

"If I really need to think, I do it on paper" says Elise Bauer. Jessica Spiegel agrees: "I tried on line tool to write "to do" things, but I never remembered them! Good old paper just works for me". Christopher Elliott, who defines himself a doodler, says when we deal with pc we are always worried about battery, while when we see a written note we are sure it will stay there.

Elise Bauer was formerly an executive with an Internet software company and for many years a Silicon valley strategy and marketing consultant. She maintains several weblogs in addition to award-winning recipe and cooking blog, Simply Recipes (, which was named one of Time Magazine's 50 Coolest Websites of 2006.
