Sidesteps and Serendipity. The third Moleskine Salon.

A Moleskine notebook turned into an illuminated manuscript. Its shiny exterior glistens with gold foil embossing as the geo-calligraphic art deco motifs catch the light; a little black rectangle that is the keeper of voyages, encounters and adventures.

This precious object acts as a physical representation of the things that cannot be seen but are rarely forgotten: personal stories, travelling memories and shared moments that occur when we travel.
Six individuals that are changing the way we think about travel and the world around us recently came together to share a personal story about an adventure or a journey they took, that involved either a sidestep or a serendipitous outcome. Each storyteller presented an image or an object that acted as the foundation of their story.
A rope. A bottle of wine. A sheet of paper inked in Japanese script. A journal entry. A cassette tape. An artwork. Tangible memories, conversation catalysts. Idea generators.
The Custom Edition notebook was created by Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic, a designer, calligrapher, and Creative Director of UK-based music and arts label Earnest Endeavors.
