Oki Sato



Sato Sato's notebook is a subtle cut artworks, with little trees and forms cut out on the top of the pages. It reminds of a forest and little houses.

Born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada, completed his BA and his MA in Architecture, Waseda Univ., Tokyo in 2002 and established "nendo" in Tokyo. In 2005 established also a Milan office. In 2006 gave a lecturer for Showa Women's Univ., Tokyo, established "one percent products" in Tokyo and was mentioned in "The 100 Most Respected Japanese" in Newsweek magazine. In 2007 his company was in "The Top 100 Small Japanese Companies" in Newsweek magazine. In 2008 the monograph "nendo" was published by daab (Germany) and hi "cabbage chair" was selected for the collection of the MoMA (NY), MAD (NY) and Musee des Arts Decoratifs (Paris). In 2009 he gave a Lecturer for Kuwasawa Design School and had a Private exhibition at the Friedman Benda gallery (NY).
