Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store, Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Singapore
April 6th, 2009 - May 8th, 2009
Moleskine in collaboration with Books Kinokuniya Singapore present "My Moleskine Nô To*" exhibition to showcase creative talents as inspired by excursions to Japan. The works in progress of international artists coming from various horizons become a wonderful and vibrant platform for an escapade into culture, memory, imagination and travel to Japan.
The new collection of city notebooks, like the newly released Tokyo and Kyoto city notebooks, are invitation to drift, discover and re-discover cities in a whole new way. Following Chatwin's footsteps, international artists pursue their own personal and creative vision to present works in progress, and not only offer an original platform to explore Japan, but also a vibrant journey into the creative process.
"My Moleskine Nô To*" presents works inspired from journeys in Japan from renowned artists from various origins (France, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, Philippines...).
Their background and medium of expression are as diverse as music (Aspidistrafly), illustration and design (Graphicairlines, Fleecircus, Ai Wei, Audrey Salmon, Satoshi Ogawa, Stanley Wong...), and fashion and product design (Lines Lab). For this creative melting pot, the Moleskine notebook will become their new canvas to freely express and showcase their inspirations and artworks or to share a more intimate side of their work.
