ASA / Studioalbanese
ASA Studioalbanese was established in Vicenza in 1987 as a natural evolution and consolidation of the professional activity of Flavio Albanese. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach to the contemporary, the study produces architecture, design, publishing, exhibitions of exhibition and site specific installations. Today ASA develops projects all over Europe, USA and Asia, and his works have been published by major magazines. Neores project by ASA Studioalbanese has been selected in 2003 edition of Mies Van Der Rohe Award. In 2004 and 2006 it was featured in the International Architecture Biennale in Venice.
In 2007 ASA was invited to take part in the concept scheme for urban replanning in Beijing. ASA Studioalbanese is lead by Flavio Albanese.
Flavio Albanese (born in Vicenza in 1951), self-taught architect, designer and contemporary art's collector and curator, has built up his professional career through experiences outside the academic world. In 1987 he cofounded in Vicenza the architectural practice ASA Studioalbanese, of which he is president. He was member of the scientific committee for Domus Academy and he coordinated the Officina at the port of Palermo. From May 2007 to March 2010 he was chief editor of the international architecture magazine DOMUS.
