Fiona Bennett belongs to a new generation of hat-makers. She learned her craft in an old millinery in Berlin Kreuzberg; today, she has revived it in her salon in Mitte. Even during her apprenticeship, Fiona Bennett manufactured experimental headpieces along with traditional hats. She was the costume designer for Vincent Paterson's Berlin stage production of "Cabaret". Shortly thereafter she taught next to Vivienne Westwood at the University of Arts Berlin. In 1999, Fiona Bennett opened her hat salon, where she sells her unusual headwear creations to couturiers, actors and designers worldwide. With her love for detail and her extravagant ideas, she brings not only her creations, but also the trend-setting city of Berlin to the international stage.
