Moleskine ® - Legendary notebook - Toyo Ito

Ito's notebook is a collection of little, colorful and vivid sketches that give us an insight of his thoughts and ideas.

Born in 1941 Toyo Ito graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1965 and established his office in 1971. His main works include White U (1976), Silver Hut (1984), Sendai Mediatheque (2001), TOD'S Omotesando Building (2004) and Tama Art University Library (Hachioji campus). In addition to domestic projects, he has completed projects abroad such as Bruges Pavilion (2002), Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2002 in London (2002), Hospital Cognacq-Jay in Paris (2006), VivoCity in Singapore (2006) and The Main Stadium for 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung (2009). Many projects, including the extension of Barcelona Fair: Montjuic-2, Taichung Metropolitan Opera House and UC Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, are under development/construction. He received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement from the 8th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennnale in 2002, the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 2006 and the 6th Austrian Frederick Kiesler Prize for Architecture and the Arts in 2008.
