Two SFMOMA limited edition notebooks, designed by Martin Venezky of Appetite Engineers, with the cover that interacts with the eye-catching paperband, are available at the museum store: a useful tool for visitor to write down their thoughts.

To celebrate its 75th year, on January SFMOMA will exhibit a year-long anniversary show bringing together more than 400 seminal works from the collection, including work by Frida Kahlo, Jeff Koons, Sherrie Levine, Jackson Pollock and Barry McFee.

Tim Burton's creatures at MoMA

Puppets, drawings, paintings, photographs, storyboards, costumes and screenings: MoMA celebrates Tim Burton with more than seven hundred works.

The exhibition explores the full range of his creative path, from early childhood artwork, revealing that Burton's dark, quirky, Pop-surrealist themes in film carry over to his rarely-seen drawings as well, all personal marks of the man's distinctive viewpoint.

A custom 2010 weekly planner was published by Moleskine in a limited run and given out to guests during the opening events. The book features Tim Burton's signature and the MoMA logo embossed on the cover and a unique paperband with the names of several of the director's films.

The retrospective will be at MoMA until April 26th.

This MoMA collaboration is part of the Moleskine Special Projects, to which a new section of our website is now dedicated.

Pipes and Banderoles

Yellow pipes for electrical ducts, red for lifts and escalators, green for water, blue for air. The same colors used for the Centre Pompidou Special Edition banderoles.

The building was designed "inside out": the pipes are not hidden inside but shown in the facade. Conceived in the 60's, it was surprisingly assigned to a team of totally unknown young architects. Their names: Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers and Sue Rogers.

Since 1970 the Centre Pompidou has been a multifunctional center including modern and contemporary art, books, design, cinema.

The Special Edition notebook is available at Printemps Design and Flammarion Centre bookshop, located inside the Centre Pompidou.

A new step in the collaboration between Moleskine and the Centre Pompidou, which in 2008 hosted the Detour notebook exhibition.

Images of an oniric, surreal and mysterious New York in the dark. People from the independent publishing house Zeropuntozerozero were looking for an alternative way to publish a special series of Renato D'Agostin's color pictures. They asked their friends the same question: What is Night for you?

In one year they received and collected responses from all over the world: a fascinating voyage through the diverse, obscure and shining darkness of the night. Thanks to all them it was created the 0.00 Night notebook. The night's diary.

To celebrate the current exhibition "Bauhaus 1919-1933: Workshops for Modernity", Moleskine® and MoMA have created two new limited editions: a Cahier Set and a MoMA Notebook. The Cahier Set is dedicated to Eugen Batz, one of the founders of Bauhaus and of modernist architecture: each of the three Cahier Pocket notebooks bears on its cover a different fundamental geometric shape of a different primary color.

Moleskine supports lettera27: the Borders project

Borders is a lettera27 project aimed at documenting migration and migratory routes through Africa. The Borders project supports the Italian language school and the computing, theatrical and audiovisual labs run by Italian NGO Asinitas. This experience also originated a few feature films, collective works created with the contribution of the classes.

Among them the prize winner As A Man on Earth (original title: Come un uomo sulla terra), released in 2008 by Riccardo Biadene, Andrea Segre and Dagmawi Yimer, about the journey to Italy of a group of immigrants through Libya.
