Michel Rojkind was born in Mexico City in 1969 and studied architecture and urban planning at the Universidad Iberoamericana. In 2002 he started his own firm called "Rojkind Arquitectos", that in 2005 was evaluated as one of the best ten "Design Vanguard". His firm has to today accomplished 15 projects in Mexico as well as winning contests in Canada and Spain.
In 2004 he co-founded the group MXDF Urban Research Center, an association that works on urban development and urban space in Mexico through researches conducted on social, cultural, political and environmental conditions. Rojkind has contributed as an editor in the "FWD" section of the Journal Arquine International and has been involved in important architectural projects worldwide. Rojkind explores how space, materials and different ways to construct connect to geographical, climate and urban factors. He is an independent-minded architect who only works on projects he truly believes in and is passionate about.
