Patrick Holland Goddard
Patrick Holland Goddard was born in London, studied in Bath (2003-2006) and now lives and works in Shoreditch, East London. Primarily theatrical sculptural installations, his work is often concerned with ethical questions relating to ecological and social issues. Politically charged, his pieces play with black humour and the uncanny to express the perception of the mundane and extraordinary in contemporary life and is occasionally controversial or shocking. The Moleskine notebook was approached from a far more autobiographical perspective and contains short true stories and sketches from his life rather than the overt social commentary common in his sculptural work.
