Born in Washington, D.C. in 1969, Scott Wilson currently resides in Chicago.
Formerly of IDEO, Scott was a Global Creative Director for Nike and for Motorola. Outside of his corporate gigs he has collaborated with partners such as Quinze&Milan of Belgium, Rem Koolhaas and OMA, Design Within Reach, Moroso and Mercedes on various projects ranging from lighting to contract and residential furniture systems to virtual environments and experiences.
Most recently Wilson has ventured into creating brands of his own. The first of these is OOBA, a new company that designs and produces modern objects and furniture for children. Wilson's work has been exhibited in museums and competitions including the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Triennial, MOMA, MCA and Chicago Athenaeum. His products have appeared in countless magazines and graced the covers of many international journals and volumes. In January of 2000, Wilson was profiled in ID Magazine as one of the Top 40 Designers under 30. Over the past 7 years his work has received wide recognition around the globe collecting over 40 international design awards from organizations such as IDEO, ID Magazine, iF, reddot, and D&AD. Recently, Wilson was featured in FastCompany's October 2006 Masters of Design issue and TIME Magazine's Style&Design 100.
