Moleskine Messages Words and sketches that travel the world
08 marzo 2012
The heir of the legendary notebook presents the new Messages Collection, an innovative concept of postal cards. With essential design and high quality materials, the new Moleskine cards are made up of colored cardboard covers, Singer sewn stitched spine, and thick paper pages designed for the full enjoyment of the unique gesture of handwriting and drawing. The large internal space, in thick 100 gsm paper, is suitable for writing, drawing, and leaving room for all sorts of hand-made creativity.
The Moleskine Messages collection is inspired by the increasing popularity of the DIY culture and making things by hand. This art flourishes online by means of galleries, apps, tutorials, videos, manuals, integrating analog, handmade activities into the digital realm.
The collection is made up of two different types of cards.
For the first time ever an envelope and card unite as one. An envelope-shaped notebook, ready-to-mail, with 8 blank pages to fill with a personal handmade message. Postal Notebooks have foldable flaps that turn it into an envelope and a Singer sewn-stitched spine. When the flaps are taken off, this innovative card turns back into a notebook.
A new concept in note card design. A discrete and personal way to send a message for any occasion. It differs from the Postal Notebook because in this case the envelope comes separately, you insert the card into the envelope as you would do for traditional cards. 4 plain inner pages, sewn with Singer stitching.
Both the Note Cards and the Postal Notebook are available in 6 different colors: red, kraft, navy blue, light grey, mais, terracotta, and in two dimensions: pocket 3 ½" x 5 ½" (9 x 14 cm) and large: 4 ½" x 6 ¾" (11.5 x 17.5 cm). Inside, 4 or 8 plain inner pages.
The Messages Collection will be available on the Moleskine Store and on selected shelves worldwide starting from March 8. Video available on the Moleskine YouTube and Vimeo channels starting from March 8. Download full Media Kit with hi-res images here. Please credit photos: Moleskine.
