For events:
Use the standard ICal format in a text file (.msk or .ical)
For contacts:

Create a MSK version of your contacts
You can export your contacts from email client (eg. Outlook) or contact database (eg. Plaxo) in vcard format and then transorm them in MSK printable format.
For Outlook:
You can only export one contact at a time from Outlook. You will need a program like this this or these to do download them all at once. Upload on the MSK contacts panel the .vcf file you will get. A second alternative is to sycronize your Outlook contacts with Plaxo and the export from there
For Plaxo:
You can export your contacts with the syncronize function (free utility). Upload on the MSK contacts panel the .vcf file you will get.
The evolution of the MSK is here. Choose the size and layout of your notebook. Insert text, lines or images and give space to what matter the most: your imagination
