John-Taki Theodoracopulos was born in New York in 1980. He has been working and living in Rome for the past year and a half with a new wife and 9 months old son. Back in 98-2000 he studied in the spring street studios in N.Y.C. and did two drawing marathons at the studio school. In 2001 he moved to Paris and found the Claude Monet Foundation at Giverny where he painted for 3 months. Then he stayed in France till he travelled throw India for 6 months in 2003. In that time he had three shows in Switzerland at the Gallery Wandelbar which changed its name to Patricia Low Contemporary. "Since then I have done some commissions threw the contacts of that gallery but saw friends in New York doing so well I had to go see why. Moved back to the city because I thought to be successful, I had to be there but didn't like it or work well at that time. But then I met my wife and moved to Rome and started building roots in life, and my work, the stuff I sent, is a part of that. Right now I am preparing an exhibition in the Foundation Pastificio Cerere in Rome", John-Taki says.
