Inspiration and Process in Architecture: new titles in the series

Four new titles join the Inspiration and Process in Architecture series. A collection of books that explore the design process of some of the world's best known and most influential architects. Each monograph in the collection is dedicated to a single architect or studio, and its pages contain drawings, ideas and projects - from Kengo Kuma in Japan to Marcio Kogan and Studio MK27 in Brazil, to Studio Mumbai in India and Zaha Hadid in London. The new titles joining the collection feature James Stirling, Daniel Libeskind, Jo Coenen and Thom Mayne.

James Stirling. Explore the creative process of Britain's most eccentric architect through his sketches, photographs and iconic axonometrics. From the early inspirations of Liverpool's docks to his devotion to Le Corbusier, Stirling leaves a paradigmatic legacy for generations of architects to come.

Daniel Libeskind. Deeply influenced by music, philosophy and literature, he considers architectural drawing a creative practice in itself. In this monograph his drawings, or "architectural explorations" are presented alongside his "real" architecture to document the development of his most prestigious projects like the Jewish Museum in Berlin and the World Trade Centre redevelopment in New York.

Morphosis. The American architectural firm is an interdisciplinary practice led by Thom Mayne that believes in creating work with a meaning that can be understood by absorbing the culture for which it was made. Known for its rigorous design and research, its urban creations are innovative and iconic.

Jo Coenen. The award winning work of this seminal Dutch architect is never detached from its context, ensuring a unique approach to the tension between public and private space. Influenced and inspired by his many contacts in Central and Southern Europe he has designed many architectural and urban development projects.

With over 100 full colour images reproduced in a clothbound notebook with rounded corners, ribbon bookmark, elastic closure and lie-flat stitching, each book offers a different and never before seen perspective on the multifaceted profession of architecture. Previous titles in the collection also include Cino Zucchi, Michael Graves, Frits Palmboom, Marcio Kogan, Alberto Kalach, Bolles+Wilson, Giancarlo De Carlo, Wiel Arets and Dominique Perrault.
